         The hydraulic return oil filter is installed on the pressure pipeline of the hydraulic system to filter out the mechanical impurities mixed in the hydraulic oil and the gum, asphalt, carbon residue, etc. generated by the chemical changes of the hydraulic oil itself, thereby preventing the valve core from getting stuck, the gaps of throttle holes and damping holes from being blocked, and the occurrence of faults such as rapid wear of hydraulic components. The return oil filter has good filtering effect and high accuracy, but it is difficult to clean after blockage, and the filter element needs to be replaced.
Precautions for installation of hydraulic oil filter element:
         (1) Installing an oil filter at the suction port of a hydraulic pump can protect all components in the system. However, due to the limitation of the pump's suction resistance, only a mesh type oil filter with small pressure loss can be selected. This type of oil filter has low filtration accuracy, and particles generated by pump wear will enter the system, which cannot fully protect other hydraulic components of the system. Other oil filters need to be connected to the oil circuit for use.
         (2) Installed on the oil outlet of the hydraulic pump, this installation method can effectively protect other hydraulic components except for the pump. However, due to the high pressure operation of the return oil filter, the filter element needs to have high strength. To prevent the hydraulic pump from overload or damage caused by clogging of the filter, a blockage indicator or bypass valve is often installed next to the return oil filter for protection.
        (3) Install the return oil filter on the return oil path of the system. This method can filter out particles generated by the detachment of the oxidation layer on the oil tank or pipe wall or the wear of hydraulic components in the system, to ensure the cleanliness of the hydraulic oil in the oil tank and protect the pump and other components. Due to the low return oil pressure, the required strength of the oil filter does not need to be too high.
